Consistency
Use these checks after the basic setup and timing are already working. Fix the environment before repeatedly changing values.
1. Check capture FPS
Dilemma should be operating around 60 FPS. If it is substantially below that, fix the capture problem before changing timing.
- Confirm the PC is capable of maintaining the capture.
- If using a capture card, confirm the card is connected with a USB 3.0-capable cable to a USB 3.0 port.
- Lower Dilemma's PREVIEW rate (or turn the preview off when you do not need it) to reduce unnecessary display overhead. Do not lower the actual capture source FPS.
- Close unnecessary apps and background processes, especially when using Remote Play or Window Capture, so Dilemma has enough CPU, GPU, memory, and network headroom.
- Avoid treating capture-performance problems as timing problems.
2. Match the meter settings
Dilemma's selected meter, meter position and meter color must match what is actually being used in-game.
Restart the console after making game display or meter-setting changes before evaluating consistency again.
3. Check the network
For the network environment used by the consistency/Syncer setup, both the console and the PC should be hardwired to the router with Ethernet rather than relying on wireless.
4. Do not chase one bad result
If your real timing has already been established, an occasional Early does not automatically mean the timing value should change. Look at repeated behavior before making an adjustment.
5. Then evaluate Syncer
Syncer is intended to help stabilize the in-game connection and address the early-glitch behavior. Do not use it as a substitute for fixing low capture FPS, wrong meter settings or an incorrect base timing.
